Gearing up for the start of the 2018 Summer Indigenous Art Intensive also means looking back at the inspiring activities of previous years. The 2017 Summer Intensive hosted an exciting group of world-renowned visiting artists, with keynote presentations by ground-breaking scholars and thinkers: UBCO's Canada Research Chair in Okanagan Knowledge, Jeannette Armstrong, as well as artists and theorists France Trépanier and Chris Creighton-Kelly (Vancouver Island), Monika Kin Gagnon (Montreal), Shawn Wilson (Australia), and Linda Tuhiwai Smith and Graham Hingangaroa Smith (New Zealand). All the keynote talks are still available to view online at http://rmooc.ca, or follow the links below; proceedings from July 12 and 19, 2017 will be available this July as a beautiful limited-run set of 4 books, published through CiCA Press.
